PMS wins 1st prize again in “Austria’s Leading Companies” competition

For us, 2020 is proving to be a year of awards! After winning the TRIGOS Carinthia award, the TRIGOS Austria award and the EMAS Prize for “Best Environmental Statement”, just like in 2019 we have claimed 1st prize in the 2020 “Austria’s Leading Companies” competition in the “Above 10 million euros national turnover ” category.

On 24 November 2020, for the 22nd time, Austrian newspaper “Die Presse” and its partners KSV1870 and PwC presented awards to businesses which have had a lasting impact on the Austrian economy and their local area.

Rather than being awarded by a jury, the prize is based on economic performance over the previous three years, which can be compared using key performance indicators. After a series of successful years, PMS achieved another set of extremely positive results in 2019, including record-breaking operational output, results, employment figures and investment, and it has established new companies to expand the range of services to meet specific needs. “2019 represented another milestone in our company history with the construction of Austria’s most advanced switchgear manufacturing centre”, explained PMS Managing Directors Franz Grünwald and Alfred Krobath. “State-of-the-art office and machinery infrastructure, production control stations and digital twins allow us to maximise synergies from the design and engineering stage through to the manufacturing process for the benefit of our end customers.” Another highlight in 2019 was launching the “Systems Engineering” study programme at the company site in St. Stefan in collaboration with the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences.

“Winning 1st prize again in the “Austria’s Leading Companies” competition shows that we’re on the right track and that we’ll only remain successful if we stick together as a team,” said the two Managing Directors.  “We’re proud of our loyal, expert staff, and we’d like to thank every one of them for their hard work, dedication and team spirit!”
