Systems Engineering Extended

The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and its regional partner PMS Elektro- und Automationstechnik GmbH are establishing a course combining professional training with academic degree studies in order to offer bright career prospects for talented young people in the Lower Carinthia / Lavanttal region.

From the 2019/20 winter semester, students from the Lavanttal region will have an easier way to combine a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering with their professional training, as the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences has partnered with PMS Elektro- und Automationstechnik GmbH to offer the “Systems Engineering Extended” combined work and study course at the Villach Campus and at the PMS site in St. Stefan.

What does “Extended” mean? The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences is extending its range of study programmes to a new form of learning. Extended means:

  • selected classes take place at the university’s Villach Campus alongside the cohort of “regular” vocational students
  • selected classes take place at the PMS Lavanttal Technology Centre, led by full-time or part-time lecturers from the university
  • selected classes or course components are livestreamed from Villach to the training areas provided at PMS. We invite you to attend one of our information evenings to find out what you need to know about this course.
